Polido vs Grammarly
Polido vs Grammarly: rewrite for where it's going, not just fix what's wrong
Grammarly checks what you wrote and suggests fixes. Polido rewrites what you wrote for the place it is going: a prompt for ChatGPT, a message for Slack, a reply in Mail. If you mostly want spelling and grammar caught as you type, Grammarly does that well. If you want a rough draft turned into the finished thing with one keystroke, that is what Polido is for.

What's the difference between a mutex and a semaphore? Explain when you'd use each one, what happens when you get it wrong, and give a concrete code example for both in a language of your choice.
Choose Grammarly if
You write mostly in English and want every error caught as you type, in a browser extension that sits on every text field.
Choose Polido if
You want the rough draft rewritten, not underlined: prompts that get better answers, Slack notes that read clearly, email replies that read the thread, in your own language.
Questions
- Is Polido a Grammarly alternative?
- For rewriting, yes. Polido rewrites a whole draft for where it is going with one keystroke. It is not a line-by-line grammar checker, so if that is what you want, Grammarly is the closer fit.
- Can I use Polido and Grammarly together?
- Yes. They do different jobs and do not get in each other's way: Grammarly underlines as you type, Polido rewrites when you double-tap.
- Does Polido work in languages other than English?
- Yes, 30+ languages, and it keeps the language you wrote in. European Portuguese stays European Portuguese; it does not translate unless you ask it to.
- Does Polido run on Windows?
- Yes. On Windows the trigger is a double-tap of the right Ctrl key.
